San Clemente, CA;  (June 4th, 2008) Ember, the San Clemente based clothing company founded  by entrepreneur Jon Meixner and industry veteran Wally Emory, today announced the launch of their new collection set to debut this summer.  Ember Clothing is a surf-inspired board-riding brand designed for individuals who juggle the responsibilities of work, family, or school with the desire to go surfing. The Ember concept is predicated on the simple ideas that being active, getting outdoors, and staying connected are top priorities.

Aside from trying to inspire busy individuals to get in the water, the crew at Ember has set out to create a line of clothing that emphasizes unique graphics with subtle logo and brand placement. “We have seen a large number of surfer’s that have responded positively to our concept, not all action sports enthusiasts should wear the same logo based tee," said Jon Meixner, co-founder of Ember Clothing.  Matt Phillip’s, owner of Surf Skate Supply, has also seen a strong customer response to the new Ember brand: “Ember is great for those that are tired of the over the top patterns and graphics.” Surf Skate Supply is a big part of the San Clemente surf/skate scene, so if you haven’t been, it is definitely worth a look.

With backing from local San Clemente surf shops and the desire to build a solid surf brand, Ember Clothing is in a great position to succeed.  Ember Clothing consistently draws from beach life, maintains a core edge, and employs a less-is-more attitude. This approach combined with the use of very soft, high quality materials, has made Ember Clothing the must have new brand of 2008! A best-selling Ember t-shirt, The Rising Sun, exemplifies the brand; outdoorsy graphics featuring high quality materials and subtle brand placement, designed to keep you from feeling like a walking advertisement.
