LA / Boston / Lincoln / Santa Fe x Chris Pastras

Wed Sep 30 16:52:00 -0700 2009

Guide by Scion host Chris Pastras lays down the truth about Lincoln, Boston, Santa Fe, and Los Angeles. (CLICK THE CITIES FOR THE VIDEOS)

Sante Fe: Fun parks, hot sun, and a good showing by flow rider Daniel Luthern from Toy Machine. Sante Fe's a radical funky town that's a bit more artsy than I expected, and a bit of a time warp. The town square is pretty amazing, but be for warned, the natives don't like to be filmed. We also got surrounded by a bunch of vombified drunk bums at the skatepark at 10am that were lurking over our camera equipment. Damn you firewater.

Boston: Wicked awesome Bostonian Charlie Wilkins shows us around town. I partied with Paul Revere's grandson, threw the first pitch at a Red Sox game, and did a 900 at Dougie Deaths Bowl. But sadly, our cameraman lost the tape.

Lincoln, NE: My good buddy Kevin Wilkins from The Skateboard Mag proves to us that Lincoln is just a little less boring than we pictured. It's got a huge stadium, a quaint and cozy downtown, and a damn good farmers market. Dear Santa, please send Nebraska a pro sports team.

Los Angeles:
I was very proud to get a true King Of LA locked in for this one, Tony Alva. The born and breed LA original brings us to a few OG spots. And the dude is still ripping at age 50, hells yeah! —Chris Pastras
