Action sports lifer living the dream in Denver, CO. I travel whenever possible to see live FMX, skate concrete across the globe, ride the steepest and deepest snow I can find, and flail around in the surf wishing I was better at it.  I'm eternally stoked to have made a life of it all, and I'm working perpetually to share it with friends, family, and fans. My own kids are most stoked on BMX and skateboards at the moment, and will be hitting the slopes on snowboards for the first time during the 2009-2010 season.

Moment of Silence: Jeremy Lusk, RIP

Mon Feb 08 11:29:00 -0800 2010

Tomorrow night we'll be airing a special tribute to Jeremy Lusk on The Daily Habit, with special guests Cameron Steele, Brian Deegan, Ronnie Faisst, Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Derek Garland, and Ryan Hagy in the studio to share some memories.

The American Freestyle Motocross Association (AFMXA) is urging FMX fans and riders around the world to join in a moment of silence to remember Lusk tomorrow, Tuesday February 9, at 11am PST. For more info about the Lusk remembrance and the association founded partly in his honor, the AFMXA has launched a new mobile program: Text "GO AFMXA" to the 5-digit code 68398 (U.S. subscribers only, standard messaging rates will apply) to join the mobile program.

AFMXA advisory board member Toby Bost writes,

"The introduction of the AFMXA Mobile Program adds another dimension to our organization, which hs been largely inspired by the memory of Jeremy and the athletes who represent it. We encourage everyone who follows the sport in any way to take a moment of silence to remember Jeremy on Tuesday February 9th, and to visit AFMXA.com to lear how to become actively involved in promoting our mission."

Lusk would never have tolerated much more than a moment of silence himself, so on Wednesday head to the Pala Raceway and start your engines for the Jeremy Lusk Ride Day – all proceeds from admission fees will benefit AFMXA and the Lusk Legacy Foundation, working together to improve overall safety in the sport, protect the livelihoods of ridersand their families, and provide them with legal, medical and financial consultation and representation.

"We are proud to support the AFMXA and have believed in their message since day one," says Ryan Oullette, president of Pala Raceway. "We look forward to the Jeremy Lusk ride day on Wednesday and encourage everyone to come and enjoy a great day of riding in honor of a great man."

Metal Mulisha's Ryan Hagy sent over this note:

"It has been one year since Jeremy's passing and he is greatly missed. This day (Feb. 9th) is a very sad one for our team, fans, friends and family and we intend to celebrate his life and the impact he has made on our lives and the sport. Rest in peace Jeremy."

Hey Colin, we took a jolly trip to Denver on the 15th of Aug,we drove thru snow on the way from Albuquerque, weird! It rained the whole time so we ended up at Woodward where my friend got injured in the first 45 minutes! bummer, so we just kind of messed around. I think we will come back as the city looks fun!!
