"Firsthand" Season 11 Premiere, Sunday 9/27

The 11th season of Firsthand premiers on Sunday, September 27, beginning at 8:00 ET/PT. The sixteen-episode series gives an up-close and personal look into the daily lives of the world’s top action sports athletes such as currently ranked number-five surfer in the world Damien Hobgood, 2008 X-Fighters overall champion and Swiss FMX Rider Matt Rebeaud, 19-year-old professional skateboarder Torey Pudwill, and professional wakeboarder Brian Grubb.

“FUEL TV’s viewers love watching ‘Firsthand’ because they get a chance to know the athletes on a personal level and not in the typical professional interaction,” says Scott Paridon, FUEL TV VP of Production and Development. “In the new season, ‘Firsthand’ will cover top names in the sports like surfer Damien Hobgood, legendary skater Lance Mountain, BMX legend Ryan Nyquist, and motocross champion Chad Reed. This exciting new season gives the viewers a detailed and diverse look at the athlete’s lives as they travel around the world.”

Join pro skater Torey Pudwill on his “Firsthand” as he ventures through his summer competing and taking on many projects and events. Also, watch pro surfer Keala Kennelly as she tackles the world’s largest and heaviest waves in Teahupoo, Tahiti. On Rebeaud’s episode, he takes us on a tour through his home in the idyllic Swiss countryside and his training in Southern California for the X-Fighters event in Calgary, Canada. Look for exciting episodes from pro snowboarders Marie-France Roy and Laura Hadar, surfers Alex Gray and Will Tant, and Dew Cup Champion BMX pro Anthony Napolitan.

Original episodes premiere Sunday nights at 8:00pm ET/PT and re-air several times throughout the week. They will also be available for download from iTunes, and can be watched on www.fuel.tv and www.hulu.com.
