Nautique Announces Invitation Criteria for Masters

Today Nautique announced the criteria they use to decide who gets to go to Masters.  It is an invitation-only wakeboard & water-ski tournament. As such, invitations are issued at the sole discretion of the Masters Tournament Committee.

The subtext here is that they use some very specific and proven methods to choose who comes and who does not. While they spilled the beans on how they make the decisions, no specific names were mentioned. That's not a problem - its easy to read into this and see who is there and who isn't, and there are some people who would seem to be getting double-invites! Looking at you, Andrew Adkison my friend. We'll take one of those 2 invites you have off of your hands (and put it to journalistic use).

2010 Masters Pro Wakeboard Invitation Criteria

1. 2009 Defending Masters Wakeboard Champion
2. Top 6 finalists of the 2009 King of Wake Wakeboarding World Cup Series
3. Top 5 finalists of the 2009 Queen of Wake Series
4. 2009 WWA National Wakeboard Champion
5. 2009 WWA World Wakeboard Champion
6. Top 5 Men on the 2009 Pro Wakeboard Tour Ranking Lists
7. Wild Cards are under the sole discretion of Nautique
8. If a rider gets hurt or declines their invite to the Masters, the committee will go to the next person on the 2009 King of Wake or 2009 Queen of Wake Ranking lists if there is a need to fill the field.

3. Top 4 on 2009 Pro Wakeboard Tour, Jr. Men’s Series
