From the first days of snowboarding in Lake Tahoe, locals have known Mt Rose as the early season go-to spot.  Boreal Mountain Resort beat Mother Nature's race this season with their new snowmaking system, but they gave just a tease with only a couple days of action.  Mt. Rose's high elevations kept the only natural snow, which brought out Downtown Throwdown's winner Nick Visconti, and fellow Tahoe Dangerzone co-creator Josh Parker.  It just so happened TJ Schneider hit them up asking for a field report for his Snowboard Realms, so they grabbed a posse with fun in mind.  When they arrived, many others were there with the same intentions, and found them armed with un-natural jibs such as welded rails and corrugated pipes.

The Dangerzone crew hiked up to best first snow natural jump zone called Naturals.  It's been sessioned for the past 20 years, first set off by Damian Sanders and other old-school freestylers.  These new-schoolers stepped it up with finding some backcountry urban-like features, and as the video shows, had a great time!

The mid October weather was acting as, well... mid October, so the crew took advantage before the snow melted, and got a couple more days in.  Enjoy the 1 episode of season 2.  More to come...
