Motocross legend, off-road racer, team owner, 2010 Lucas Oil Rider of the Year and businessman, “The General” Brian Deegan has come a long way since the age of 17.  Then, taking only a credit card, dirt bike, and his Ford F-150 truck, Deegan left his hometown of Omaha for Southern California with dreams of becoming the next big name in Motocross.

Deegan rode his way onto a Supercross Team, and in true rebel fashion, inspired what we know as Freestyle Motocross today by ghost riding his bike across the finish line at the LA Coliseum in 1997.  He has not looked back since.

With 14 medals, Deegan is the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in X Games history and is the only rider to compete in at least one event each year since the X Games’ inception.  Along the way, he has overcome three near-death experiences, broken bones, a lost kidney, and a severely injured spleen along the way to establishing him as one of the top talents and competitors in the sport.

Forever a Motocross icon, Deegan is looking forward to continuing his domination in the world of Motocross. At the same time, he is looking to transfer his success in Motocross to four-wheel racing and Deegan’s partnership with Ford Racing announced earlier this year will allow him to race Ford vehicles in multiple action motorsports platforms, including the Ford Raptor in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and Fiesta in Global RallyCross Championship and at X Games 17 in Los Angeles.

Deegan has raced a Ford Fiesta at X Games the last two years finishing fourth in his debut in 2009 and claiming a pair of silver medals finishing second to Tanner Foust in Super Rally and RallyCross at X Games 17.
